These are the official rules and guidelines for the AnuCon 2024 Cosplay Contests. These are main stage activities.

Entrants can dress as a member of any fandom (series/film/game/etc). You are not restricted to anime characters.

​

We would like to ensure that this is a family-friendly event. Metal blades (sharp or blunt), working projectile weapons, and wooden or metal bats & paddles are all forbidden. Cosplayers wearing full-body paint only will not be allowed to participate. Explicit language and excessive nudity is not allowed.

 

The AnuCon Team has the right to reject an application.​

Cosplay Masquerade​

 

Are you a lover of the theatrical arts? If so, grab a few friends or your family or go it solo and enter our Cosplay Masquerade.

​

 Embody and show the dynamics of your favourite character and/or reenact a scene from a single fandom (series/film/game/etc) for 30 - 60 seconds. We are accepting solo entries and groups consisting of 2 - 4 persons only. Judging will be based on your costume and performance.

​

Additional points will be given to the persons or teams that made their own costumes and/or props.

The relevant applicants must submit progress photos as proof that they did make these items. 

​

Participants will be asked to announce the name of the character that they are embodying and the show that they are from. If applicable, they must also state the items that they handcrafted.  

 

Prizes will be awarded to the best cosplayer or group.

Each entrant must complete the online form below.

A member of the AnuCon team will contact you.

Ensure that you are present for the contest at least 30 minutes before the start time.

Deadline for Application is 2:30pm Saturday, 17th August, 2024​
